Vanessa first met service dogs while incarcerated, joining the Pups with a Purpose program at Forsyth County Jail. What began as a court requirement became her lifeline—giving her purpose, hope, and a reason to wake up each day. Today, she volunteers weekly with Warrior Paws, helping train dogs for veterans and first responders, proving that healing happens in connection—and that second chances can change everything.
